VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
ALGERIA

For Tourist Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Algeria. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed, typed online and signed (original signature is required on each page).
  3. Two (2) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. Family visit applicants must provide an invitation from their host in Algeria and notarized at the city hall of the place of residence of the Algerian host.
    Must be original copy.
  5. A copy of round-trip arline tickets or a flight itinerary, showing entry and exit from Algeria.
  6. A copy of confirmed hotel reservation.
  7. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


For Business Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Algeria. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Two (2) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. A letter of invitation from the host company in Algeria is required.
  5. A copy of round-trip arline tickets or a flight itinerary, showing entry and exit from Algeria.
  6. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:

    Embassy of Algeria, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.

    The letter must explain all of the following:
    • The purpose of visit
    • Business reference in Algeria to be visited
    • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.

  7. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


Official/Diplomatic Travel

  1. Your U.S. Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
  2. Three (3) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed (original signature required on each page).
  3. Three (3) recent Passport-type Photographs.
  4. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
  5. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).

    • $49.00 Per Visa (at least 10 business days processing)

Your application will be checked and hand carried to the Embassy and is usually processed in no less than 10 business days.


Visa Information

  • The Embassy of Algeria usually issues tourist/business visa valid for entry for specific dates according to your application. You may not enter Algeria prior to the date of entry written on your visa.
  • Visa fee is non refundable even if your visa is denied.
  • Information and visa fees are subject to change without notice.


Important Note: If you require a Rush processing, please call before you mail your documents to us. You MUST send your documents to us by FedEx Overnight/Priority Overnight/First Overnight and call us with your FedEx tracking number. Fail to do so will delay your visa processing.
