VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
ANGOLA

For Tourist Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Angola. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed (MUST BE TYPED).
  3. Two (2) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently. Print your name on reverse of both photos.
  4. A copy of round-trip arline tickets or a flight itinerary.
  5. Letter of invitation from a citizen/resident in Angola. The letter must be addressed to SECTOR CONSULAR DA EMBAIXADA DA REPUBLICA DE ANGOLA EM WASHINGTON, D.C.
  6. Proof of sufficient funds for support ($100.00 per day), such as a copy of a recent bank statement.
  7. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


For Business Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Angola. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Two (2) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently. Print your name on reverse of both photos.
  4. A copy of round-trip arline tickets or a flight itinerary.
  5. Letter of invitation from a host company in Angola. The letter must be addressed to SECTOR CONSULAR EMBAIXADA DA REPUBLICA DE ANGOLA EM WASHINGTON, D.C.
  6. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:

    Embassy of Angola, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.

    The letter must explain all of the following:
    • The purpose of visit
    • Business reference in Angola to be visited
    • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.

  7. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


Official/Diplomatic Travel

  1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed (MUST BE TYPED).
  3. Two (2) recent Passport-type Photographs, print name on reverse of both photos.
  4. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
  5. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).

Visa Information

  • The Embassy of Angola usually issues a Single Entry visa valid for 3 months from the date of issue and valid for a stay in Afghanistan of up to 30-90 days.
  • Information and visa fees are subject to change without notice.
