VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
AZERBAIJAN


For Tourist Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Azerbaijan. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed online (typed) and signed.
  3. Two (2) Passport-type Photograph, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. Tourist voucher from hotel in Azerbaijan that lists the hotel confirmation number.
  5. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


For Business Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Azerbaijan. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed online (typed) and signed.
  3. Two (2) Passport-type Photograph, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. An invitation letter from a host company or organization in Azerbaijan, authorized by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  5. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:

    Embassy of Azerbaijan, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.

    The letter must explain all of the following:
    • The purpose of visit
    • Business reference in Azerbaijan to be visited
    • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.

  6. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


Official/Diplomatic Travel

  1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
  2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
  3. Two (2) recent Passport-type Photograph.
  4. An invitation letter from a host company or organization in Azerbaijan, authorized by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  5. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
  6. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).

    • Gratis/Free for Official/Diplomatic Visa

Your application will be checked and hand carried to the Embassy and is usually processed in 4-10 business days. 
Please note that the Embassy of Azerbaijan is only open on Mondays and Thursdays.


Visa Information

  • The Embassy of Azerbaijan usually issues a Tourist/Business visa valid for 3 months from the date of issue and valid for a stay of up to 30 days.
  • Information and visa fees are subject to change without notice.


Important Note: If you require a Rush processing, please call before you mail your documents to us. You MUST send your documents to us by FedEx Overnight/Priority Overnight/First Overnight and call us with your FedEx tracking number. Fail to do so will delay your visa processing.
