VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
BENIN


For Tourist Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Benin. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
  3. One (1) Passport-type Photograph, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. A copy of round-trip arline tickets or a flight itinerary.
  5. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever (not a copy).
  6. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


For Business Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Benin. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
  3. One (1) Passport-type Photograph, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever (not a copy).
  5. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:

    Embassy of Benin, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.

    The letter must explain all of the following:
    • The purpose of visit
    • Business reference in Benin to be visited
    • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.

  6. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


Official/Diplomatic Travel

  1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
  2. Three (3) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Three (3) recent Passport-type Photographs.
  4. Internation Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever (not a copy).
  5. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
  6. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).

    • $19.00 FedEx (2nd Business Day - up to 3 passports)
    • $45.00 FedEx (Saturday Delivery - up to 3 passports)

Visa Information

  • The Embassy of Benin usually issues a Single or Multiples Entries visa valid for up to 3 years from the date of issue and valid for a stay in Benin of up to 30 days per visit.
  • Information and visa fees are subject to change without notice.


Important Note: If you require a Rush processing, please call before you mail your documents to us. You MUST send your documents to us by FedEx Overnight/Priority Overnight/First Overnight and call us with your FedEx tracking number. Fail to do so will delay your visa processing.
