VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
CHAD


For Tourist Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Chad. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Three (3) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Three (3) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. A copy of round-trip arline tickets or a flight itinerary.
  5. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required.
  6. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


For Business Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Chad. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Three (3) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Three (3) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required.
  5. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:

    Embassy of Chad, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.

    The letter must explain all of the following:
    • The purpose of visit
    • Business reference in Chad to be visited
    • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.

  6. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


Official/Diplomatic Travel

  1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
  2. Three (3) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Three (3) recent Passport-type Photographs.
  4. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required.
  5. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
  6. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).

Your application will be checked and hand carried to the Embassy and is usually processed in 5 business days.


Visa Information

  • The CHAD tourist or business Single Entry visa is usually valid for only 30 days from date issued, for a stay not to exceed 30 days. This means the applicant must enter Chad within 30 days of the issue of the visa, and can then stay up to 30 days. Three and six months Multiple Entries visas are also available.
  • The International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is not required at time of visa issuance, but must be presented upon arrival.
  • Information and visa fees are subject to change without notice.


Important Note: If you require a Rush processing, please call before you mail your documents to us. You MUST send your documents to us by FedEx Overnight/Priority Overnight/First Overnight and call us with your FedEx tracking number. Fail to do so will delay your visa processing.
