VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

For Tourist Visa

1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in DRC. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
   
   
2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. Two (2) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
   
   
4. A copy of round-trip arline tickets or a flight itinerary.
   
   
5. A notarized letter of invitation from a host or friend in DRC.
   
   
6. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
   
   
7. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).

For Business Visa

1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in DRC. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
   
   
2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. Two (2) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
   
   
4. A notarized invitation letter from a host company or organization in DRC.
   
   
5. A copy of round-trip arline tickets or a flight itinerary.
   
   
6. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
   
   
7. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
   
   Embassy of Democratic Republic of Congo, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.
   
   The letter must explain all of the following:
   • The purpose of visit
   • Business reference in DRC to be visited
   • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.
     
     
8. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).

Official/Diplomatic Travel

1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
   
   
2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. Two (2) recent Passport-type Photographs.
   
   
4. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
   
   
5. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
   
   
6. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).
