VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
KAZAKHSTAN

For Tourist Visa

1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Kazakhstan. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
   
   
2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. One (1) Passport-type Photograph, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
   
   
4. An introduction letter addressed to Embassy of Kazakhstan from the applicant stating the purpose of travel, dates of visit and your brief itinerary in Kazakhstan.
   
   
5. Applications for Double Entry and Multiple Entries Visas require an invitation letter from host in Kazakhstan approved by Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
   
   
6. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).

For Business Visa

6. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
   
   Embassy of Kazakhstan, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.
   
   The letter must explain all of the following:
   • The purpose of visit
   • Business reference in Kazakhstan to be visited
   • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.
     
     
7. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).

Official/Diplomatic Travel

1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
   
   
2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. One (1) recent Passport-type Photograph.
   
   
4. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
   
   
5. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).
