VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
LIBERIA

For Tourist Visa

1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Liberia. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
   
   
2. Two copies of (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. Two (2) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
   
   
4. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required.
   
   
5. A letter from physician stating that the applicant is free of communicable diseases.
   
   
6. A copy of round-trip airline tickets or a flight itinerary.
   
   
7. Proof of sufficient funds to cover cost of intended stay (recent bank statement).
   
   
8. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).

For Business Visa

1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Liberia. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
   
   
2. Two (2) copies of Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. Two (2) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
   
   
4. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required.
   
   
5. A letter from physician stating that the applicant is free of communicable diseases.
   
   
6. A copy of round-trip airline tickets, or a flight itinerary.
   
   
7. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
   
   Embassy of Liberia, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.
   
   The letter must explain all of the following:
   • The purpose of visit
   • Business reference in Liberia to be visited
   • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.

Official/Diplomatic Travel

1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
   
   
2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. Two (2) recent Passport-type Photographs.
   
   
4. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
   
   
5. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).
