VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
BURMA / MYANMAR

For Tourist Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Myanmar. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Three (3) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. A copy of round-trip airline tickets or a flight itinerary.

  5. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


For Business Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Myanmar. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Three (3) Passport-type Photographs, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. An invitation letter from a host company/organization in Myanmar.
  5. A copy of round-trip airline tickets, or a flight itinerary.
  6. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:

    Embassy of Myanmar, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.

    The letter must explain all of the following:
    • The purpose of visit
    • Business reference in Myanmar to be visited
    • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.

  7. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).

 

Official/Diplomatic Travel

  1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
  2. Three (3) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Four (4) recent Passport-type Photographs.
  4. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
  5. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).

    • $19.00 FedEx (2nd Business Day - up to 3 passports)
    • $45.00 FedEx (Saturday Delivery - up to 3 passports)
    • $41.00 FedEx (Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, USVI, Canada - 2nd Business Day/Overnight Delivery) NO SATURDAY DELIVERY

Your application will be checked and hand carried to the Embassy and is usually processed in 2 weeks.


Visa Information 

  • Myanmar visa is issued for a single entry valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
  • Information and visa fees are subject to change without notice.


Important Note: If you require a Rush processing, please call before you mail your documents to us. You MUST send your documents to us by FedEx Overnight/Priority Overnight/First Overnight and call us with your FedEx tracking number. Fail to do so will delay your visa processing.
