VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
SAO TOME & PRINCIPE

For Tourist Visa

1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Sao Tome. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
   
   
2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. One (1) Passport-type Photograph, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
   
   
4. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required. 
   
   
5. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).

For Business Visa

1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Sao Tome. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
   
   
2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. One (1) Passport-type Photograph, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
   
   
4. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required.
   
   
5. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
   
   Embassy of Sao Tome & Principe, Consular Section, New York.
   
   The letter must explain all of the following:
   • The purpose of visit
   • Business reference in Sao Tome & Principe to be visited
   • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.
     
     
6. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).

Official/Diplomatic Travel

1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
   
   
2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
   
   
3. One (1) recent Passport-type Photograph.
   
   
4. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
   
   
5. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).
