VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
TURKMENISTAN


For Tourist / Business Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Turkmenistan. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Two (2) Passport-type Photograph, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. Invitation from person or company to be visited in Turkmenistan, certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ashgabat. If the applicant is traveling as a tourist and will not be meeting anyone in Turkmenistan they must contact the Ministry of Tourism (tel: 99312-35-47-77 fax: 99312-39-67-40) which will assist in planning the visit and will provide the letter, certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  5. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


Official/Diplomatic Travel

  1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
  2. One (1) Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
  3. One (1) recent Passport-type Photograph.
  4. An Invitation Letter approved by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
  5. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
  6. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).

    • $75.00 Per Multiple Entry Visa – Up to 1 month stay (10 business days processing)

Your application will be checked and hand carried to the Embassy and is usually processed in 10 business days. Rush service is available in 3-4 days for additional consular fees.
