VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER
UGANDA


For Tourist Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Uganda. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Two (2) Passport-type Photograph, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. A copy of round-trip airline tickets or a flight itinerary.
  5. An International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
  6. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


For Business Visa

  1. Your valid, signed U.S. passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity beyond your intended stay in Uganda. You must have at least one (1) blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Two (2) Passport-type Photograph, must be 2" x 2" and taken recently.
  4. A copy of round-trip airline tickets or a flight itinerary.
  5. An International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
  6. A business letter of responsibility (Sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:

    Embassy of Uganda, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.

    The letter must explain all of the following:
    • The purpose of visit
    • Business reference in Uganda to be visited
    • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for the applicant and their return transportation to the U.S.
  7. Complete our Visa Order Form (print from browser).


Official/Diplomatic Travel

  1. Your Official/Diplomatic passport, must be signed and have at least 6 months remaining validity.
  2. Two (2) Visa Application Forms, fully completed and signed.
  3. Two (2) recent Passport-type Photograph.
  4. U.S. Department of State visa cover letter.
  5. Completed Visa Order Form (print from browser).

    • $50.00 Per Single Entry Visa – 3 months  validity
    • $100.00 Per Double Entry Visa – 6 months validity
    • $200.00 Per Multiple Entry Visa – 1 year validity
    • $30.00 Additional Embassy Fee for RUSH processing (1-2 business days)
    • Gratis/Free for Official/Diplomatic Visa
  • Service Fee:
    • $29.00 Per Visa (7-10 days Regular processing)
    • $59.00 Per Visa (1-2 days Rush processing)
  • Return Postage:
    • $25.00 FedEx (Next Business Day / Overnight - up to 3 passports)
    • $19.00 FedEx (2nd Business Day - up to 3 passports)
    • $45.00 FedEx (Saturday Delivery - up to 3 passports)
    • $41.00 FedEx (Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, USVI, Canada - 2nd Business Day/Overnight Delivery) NO SATURDAY DELIVERY

Your application will be checked and hand carried to the Embassy and is usually processed in 7-10 days. Rush service is available in 1-2 days for additional consular fees.
